Bryan Moynihan was born and raised in Long Island, New York. He went to school at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he earned an Undergraduate Biology Degree in developmental genetics. He then went on to study at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York where he graduated from the Physician Assistant Program.
Shortly thereafter, he moved to Florida and joined his brother, Dr. Daniel P. Moynihan, at the West Coast Musculoskeletal Institute. There, he spent the first year and a half next to Dr. Moynihan, where he learned how the variety of orthopedic issues present and learned how to treat them with the conservative measures that Dr. Moynihan has built his reputation on.
Today, Bryan holds office hours where he sees and treats patients with orthopedic complaints. He works in the hospital, seeing patients, diagnosing fractures, splinting, and coordinating surgical care with Dr. Moynihan. He is the first assistant in all major surgeries performed by Dr. Moynihan such as total joint arthroplasties, arthroscopies, fixation of fractures, and ligament reconstructions.
Bryan is an integral part of the care for Dr. Moynihan’s patients and functions as an extension of him. Since starting, they have worked together, providing excellent orthopedic care for the people of Hernando and Citrus County.
