MATTHEW D. MARSH M.D.

Dr. Matthew Marsh is a sports medicine physician practicing in Brooksville and Homosassa, Florida. He best describes himself as “a non-surgical orthopedist who delivers conservative and custom-tailored care of a wide array of orthopedic conditions.” He has extensive knowledge of fracture care and steroid injection techniques and is comfortable managing patients of most ages with acute injuries or chronic orthopedic problems.

A native Floridian, Dr. Marsh was born, and spent most of his life, in Central Florida before coming to Tampa to study at the University of South Florida, where he graduated cum laude. Next, he attended Ross University School of Medicine, where he graduated with honors.

Subsequent training includes an internship and residency at Florida Hospital in Orlando and a sports medicine fellowship at St. Vincent Medical Center in Erie, PA. Here, he had the opportunity to cover athletics on the high school, collegiate, and professional levels, as well as organize and participate in the coverage of mass sporting events such as marathons and triathlons.

He carries a board certification in sports medicine and is an active member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Marsh is happily married to his wife Christina, who works as an ICU nurse. He spends his time outside of work exercising, fishing, playing guitar, watching football, and playing with his Chocolate Labrador, Benny.
